While it is best practice to implement the Enforce library (Bootstrap.js) directly on to the website, implementing via Google Tag Manager is possible.

Steps to implement using Google Tag Manager

Import the tag template

  1. Login to Google Tag Manager and select your container.
  2. Click "Add a new tag" within the Overview section.
  3. Click "Choose a tag type to begin set-up...".
  4. Click "Discover more tag types in the Community Template Gallery".
  5. In the search box at the top, enter "CHEQ Enforce".
  6. Click the "CHEQ Enforce" entry, click "Add to workspace", then "Add".

Tag configuration and triggering

  1. Enter a tag name (e.g., "CHEQ Enforce") at the top of the screen.
  2. In the "Account" field, enter in your Enforce account name that is provided to you by your account manager.
  3. In the "Publish Path" field, enter in the Publish Path that is associated with your Enforce Gateway.
  4. Expand the "Advanced Settings" and enter tag priority of "9999" (or any other higher priority to ensure this tag executes before any other tags in your GTM instance).
  5. Click "Choose a trigger to make this tag fire..."
  6. Select "Consent Initialization - All Pages".
  7. Click "Save".
  8. Click "Submit" and publish your changes.
